Silver King was founded in 1940 by the Thompson Family in Illinois. The machine was called the “King of the Line” and was an all metal construction cleaner with a 15 gallon capacity built for commercial use in heavy industry. Next came the 7 Gallon “Commercial” for use in Restaurants, Hospitals, Offices and Car Washes.
In the 1950’s, with the help of renowned auto body designer Edwin Fisher (Fisher Bodies), we introduced Commercial Power into the domestic Marketplace with the Lightweight All Metal Silver King Professional. With its Wet & Dry pick-up ability, the Silver King eliminated the need for mops and brooms AND with its “Bypass” motor durable metal design and Lifetime Warranty, It became the Last Cleaning System a family would EVER need!
